Economy Analysis December 2014...
Third quarter GDP came in at a healthy 3.9, however with fourth quarter estimates at 2.1 percent, GDP is expected to be 2.2% for 2014, hardly a robust pace.  The good news is that GDP is expected to be slightly better for 2015, with a projected rate of 2.8%.  This is still not the desired recovery pace, however a slow steady improvement increases the probability of continued expansion. Nordson Corporation, a manufacturer of machine dispensing technologies, introduced a high-rate plasticizing unit, incorporating an innovative screw design that delivers optimum melt quality while reducing screw recovery time by 10 to 15%.  The rapid recovery times enable the system to maintain reduced cycle times and keep pace with exceedingly short cooling periods in high-volume, high speed production of thin-wall parts.
